TLDR
In this paper, the effect of aging on transformer oil physical, chemical and electrical properties has been studied using the international testing methods for the evaluation of transformer oil quality, and the validity and applicability of these models for future prediction of these properties have been verified by the good agreement between the measured end predicted values.

Calculation of a Health Index for Oil-Immersed Transformers Rated Under 69 kV Using Fuzzy Logic

TL;DR: In this paper, a new method for calculating a health index for transformers (for operating voltage 69 kV or less) based on diagnostic tests is presented, which relies on the use of furan analysis, dissolved gas analysis, and other oil analysis results as a means of calculating the health index using fuzzy set theory.

Condition Monitoring of Power Transformers - Bibliography Survey

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a preventive maintenance technique for power transformers, such as DGA, thermal monitoring, partial discharge measurement, capacitance and tan delta measurements, frequency response analysis, etc., to identify problems at an early stage before a catastrophic failure occurs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transformer oil based multi-walled carbon nanotube–hexylamine coolant with optimized electrical, thermal and rheological enhancements

TL;DR: In this article, a one-pot microwave assisted method, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) are functionalized with hexylamine (HA) based on FT-IR, TGA-DTG, Raman, EDS, CHNS/O and TEM results, the functionalization of MWNT with HA was confirmed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dielectric characterization of power transformer oils as a diagnostic life prediction method

TL;DR: In this paper, the complex permittivity of transformer oils as a function of frequency and temperature was investigated as a quality control method, providing service life estimations of power transformations.

Artificial neural networks with stepwise regression for predicting transformer oil furan content

TL;DR: In this article, a prediction model is proposed for estimation of furan content in transformer oil using oil quality parameters and dissolved gases as inputs, and stepwise regression is used to further tune the prediction model by selecting the most significant predictors.
