On radial density profile of plasma blob injected into a curved vacuum chamber

TLDR
An analytic and self consistent solution for quasi-neutral plasma transport suggests that n 0 /n ∼ r/r 0 plot is a straight line having unit slope as discussed by the authors, and the model is tested with experimental findings.
Abstract
An analytic and self consistent solution for quasi-neutral plasma transport suggests that n 0 /n ∼ r/r 0 plot is a straight line having unit slope. The model is tested with experimental findings. In our experiment a plasma gun similar to the geometry of washer plasma gun has been designed which projects high speed dense plasma blobs. Interestingly, the experimental result shows that both (n e ) 0 /n e ∼ r/r o plot and (n i ) 0 /n i ∼ r/r o plots are straight lines.

Experimental Study of Ionized Matter Projected across a Magnetic Field

TL;DR: A plasma gun has been developed which projects ionized matter (metallic and deuterium ions) at speeds up to 2.5 cm per second as mentioned in this paper, which is the fastest known speed for a single particle.

Investigation of a plasma from an occluded gas, cold plasma source

TL;DR: In this article, various measurements made on a plasma from a hydrogen loaded titanium washer mounted at a dc magnetic mirror (∼6 kG), the power being supplied to the source by a variable length pulse line (15-635 μsec), indicated the presence of H, Ti+, Ti++, Ti+++, O+, O++, Al, Al+, Al++ and Ta+.

Gas injected washer plasma gun

TL;DR: In this article, a plasma gun similar in geometry to the washer plasma gun has been operated with gas injected externally, and hydrogen, nitrogen and argon plasmas have been ionised and accelerated to velocities of the order of 107 mm s-1 and densities 1011 mm-3.
