Optimum designs for estimating EDp based on raw optical density data

TLDR
For raw optical density (ROD) data, such as those generated in biological assays employing an ELISA plate reader, ED p -optimal designs are identified for a family of homogeneous non-linear models with two parameters as discussed by the authors.

Support points of locally optimal designs for nonlinear models with two parameters

TL;DR: A new approach for identifying the support points of a locally optimal design when the model is a nonlinear model based on algebraic tools is proposed, which works both with constrained and unconstrained design regions and is relatively easy to implement.

Latin Hypercubes and Space-Filling Designs

C. Devon Lin, +1 more
TL;DR: SpaceFilling as mentioned in this paper is a general design approach to planning computer experiments, which aims to find design points that fill a bounded design region as uniformly as possible, and is referred to as space-filling design.

Locally D-optimal designs based on a class of composed models resulted from blending Emax and one-compartment models

TL;DR: A class of nonlinear models combining a pharmacokinetic compartmental model and a pharmacodynamic Emax model is introduced and it is found that an LD design with k parameters is equivalent to an LDDesign with k i1 parameters if the linear parameter in the two composed models is a nuisance parameter.

Locally d-optimal designs based on a class of composed models resulted from blending emax and one-compartment models ⁄

TL;DR: In this paper, a class of nonlinear models combining a pharmacokinetic compartmental model and a pharmacodynamic Emax model is introduced, and the locally D-optimal (LD) design for a 4-parameter composed model is found to be a saturated 4-point uniform LD design with the two boundary points of the design space in the LD design support.

Efficient geometric and uniform design strategies for sigmoidal regression models : theory and methods

TL;DR: Extensions of the basic strategy include a Bayesian maxi-min design approach to cover a range of values of the initial parameter estimates, as well as geometric/uniform design analogues when uncertainty exists as to the correct scale or to take account of curvature.

Optimum Allocation in Linear Regression Theory

TL;DR: For the estimation of a single quantity of form, the optimum allocation comprises two or three sources as discussed by the authors, and the corresponding number is 2 or 3 for estimation of both parameters, the best proportions are indicated in Sections 2 and 4 below.
