TLDR
A syndrome of combined right lateral gaze palsy and right internuclear ophthalmoplegia, followed by a left exotropia in a case of subarachnoid hemorrhage, and the mechanism of these characteristic ocular motor disturbances in relation to the post mortem findings and the topopathogenesis of the pontine infarction are discussed.

Cerebellar infarction in the superior cerebellar artery distribution

TL;DR: Three patients with CT and angiographic documentation of Cerebellar infarction in the superior cerebellar artery distribution had ataxic gait with little or no vertigo and one patient later died after distal basilar artery occlusion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Partial pontine hematomas

TL;DR: Two hypertensive men presented clinically with small, largely unilateral hematomas of the pons and midbrain demonstrated by computerized tomography, and clinical manifestations included “ocular bobbing,” complex forms of ophthalmoplegia, Cheyne-Stokes respiration, and pyramidal tract signs.

Absence of REM and altered NREM sleep in patients with spinocerebellar degeneration and slow saccades

TL;DR: These are the first awake and ambulatory humans in whom consistent abscence of REM sleep has been demonstrated and both behaved appropriately during wakefulness and showed no overt psychological abnormalities.

One-and-a-half syndrome in ischaemic locked-in state: a clinico-pathological study.

TL;DR: Five patients with "locked-in" syndrome and dysconjugate palsy of horizontal gaze with internuclear ophthalmoplegia due to dysfunction or destruction of the median longitudinal fasciculus were studied, producing the "one-and-a-half" syndrome.

The Human Periventricular Arterial Blood Supply and the Anatomy of Cerebral Infarctions

J. De Reuck
- 01 Jan 1971 -
TL;DR: Three types of periventricular vascularization are described and their frequency and location examined, and some infarctions, located in these perivocentular end and border zones, are the result of poor treatment.

Neurology of the ocular muscles

TL;DR: In this admirable text the author has made an effort to set forth clearly the state of present knowledge of the clinical physiology of the ocular motor system and the conclusions that can be safely drawn from the facts available.
