TLDR
In this paper, photometric titrations of l6 weak acids, mainly phenols, were performed in commercial isopropyl alcohol using tetra-n-butylammonium hydroxide in isoprocessor as titrant.Abstract:
Photometric titrations of l6 weak acids, mainly phenols, were performed in commercial isopropyl alcohol using tetra-n-butylammonium hydroxide in isopropyl alcohol as titrant. ln favorable cases, up to four components in a mixture were resolved if a suitable change in wave-length setting was made during the titration. Nonlinear photometric titration curves for phenols provide new evidence for complex formation between phenols and phenolate ions. (auth)read more

Electrochemical oxidation of 2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenol
TL;DR: In this paper, a double potential step experiment was used to characterize the oxidation of the phenoxy radical, showing that the current during the second step is unusually small because protons produced by the oxidization of the radical deactivate the phenoxide.

Immobilized Enzyme Reactors. Diffusion/Convection, Kinetics, and a Comparison of Packed-Column and Rotating Bioreactors for Use in Continuous-Flow Systems
TL;DR: A normalized quantitative comparison between these types of reactors clearly shows that rotating disk reactors afford a significantly more efficient utilization of immobilized active sites and permit the effective utilization of very small amounts of biocatalysts.

In situ electrochemical-ATR-FTIR spectroscopic studies on solution phase 2,4,6-tri-substituted phenoxyl radicals
TL;DR: In this article, 2,4,6-Tri-tert-butyl-phenolate and 2,6,di-,tert, butyl-4-methoxyphenolate (prepared by reacting the corresponding phenols with dry Et4NOH) were oxidised by one-electron in CH3CN at room temperature (with 0.2 M Bu4NPF6 as the supporting electrolyte) in a controlled potential electrolysis cell at negative potentials (−0.68 to −0.84 V vs. Fc/F

Dispersion of soluble matter in solvent flowing slowly through a tube
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown analytically that the distribution of concentration produced in this way is centred on a point which moves with the mean speed of flow and is symmetrical about it in spite of the asymmetry of the flow.

Chromatography of Amino Acids on Sulfonated Polystyrene Resins. An Improved System
TL;DR: A systematic study has been made of the separations of amino acids by elution analysis on columns of synthetic ion exchange resins, demonstrating that synthetic resins are capable of separating most of the common amino acids from one another.

TL;DR: In the present investigations of the chromatographic separation of amino acids, it has been observed that, when the color development is carried out in tubes exposed to the air, these difficulties appear to result primarily from the influence of dissolved oxygen.

TL;DR: In this article, the separation of amino acids by elution analysis on columns of synthetic ion exchange resins has been investigated and shown to have a resolving power comparable with that obtained with columns of starch or paper.
