GRAVPSO2D: A Matlab package for 2D gravity inversion in sedimentary basins using the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm

TL;DR: GravPSO2D is freely available, and represents an effort for providing the scientific community with the first tool based on the PSO algorithm in order perform the inversion and the uncertainty assessment of the sedimentary basin gravity inversion problem, taking into account the gravity regional trend estimation, and vertically and horizontally density contrast variations.

Structural Investigations of Afghanistan Deduced from Remote Sensing and Potential Field Data

TL;DR: In this article, the authors integrated potential gravity and magnetic field data with remotely sensed images and geological data in an effort to understand the subsurface major geological structures in Afghanistan, and integrated analysis of Landsat SRTM data was applied for extraction of geological lineaments.

Structural modeling of the hidden parts of a Paleozoic belt: Insights from gravity and aeromagnetic data (Tadla Basin and Phosphates Plateau, Morocco)

TL;DR: In this article, a subsurface structural map of the study area has been established based on gravity and aeromagnetic data analysis and interpretation, and a reference map shows how the inferred lineaments can be continued into the regional crustal-scale faults outcropping around the area in the Rehamna, Jebilet and Central Massifs.

Subsurface Structural Mapping Using Gravity Data of Hohi Geothermal Area, Central Kyushu, Japan

TL;DR: In this article, the authors attempt to delineate the subsurface structures of the Hohi area using integrated interpretation of existing gravity data, and they find that the area is characterized by the existence of high gradient anomalies associated with existing geothermal fields and manifestations.

Curie Point Depth, Geothermal Gradient and Heat-Flow Estimation and Geothermal Anomaly Exploration from Integrated Analysis of Aeromagnetic and Gravity Data on the Sabalan Area, NW Iran

TL;DR: In this paper, the spectral analysis of the aeromagnetic data for the NW of Iran has been performed and the top of the geothermal resource (i.e., the thickness of the overburden) was evaluated by applying the Euler deconvolution method on the residual gravity data.
