TLDR
For the first-order reaction preceding the electrode reaction in pulse polarography, exact equations for the instantaneous and the average current (including the firstorder spherical correction term) have been derived under the condition ⪢I, where k 1 and k 2 are the rate constants of the chemical reaction as discussed by the authors.

A contribution to the theory of pulse polarography I. Theory of current-potential curves.

TL;DR: In this article, a general theory of pulse polarographic current-potential curves is developed for a simple electrode reaction proceeding at the expanding plane electrode, where the ratio of the sampling time to the pre-electrolysis time is smaller than 1/30.

Voltammetric titrations involving metal complexes: Effect of kinetics and diffusion coefficients.

TL;DR: In this article, a theoretical analysis of the voltammetric titration of ligand with metal, under the condition that the diffusion coefficients of the complex and the free metal are unequal, is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Differential normal pulse voltammetry-theory

TL;DR: In this paper, a modified form of differential pulse voltammetry, in which two potential steps with similar short duration are superimposed on the rest potential, is presented, and expressions for the current response to the double potential step are derived for quasireversible and totally irreversible charge transfer processes of simple electrode reactions at stationary electrodes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetic classification of metal complexes in electroanalytical speciation

TL;DR: In this article, the Brinkman-Los equation for pulse polarographic kinetic currents appears to be more satisfactory than the classical reaction layer theory, and a reasonable estimation can be made of the bulk concentrations of both types of complexes.

Pulse polarography: II. Experimental verification of the diffusion equation including the shielding effect

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of the shielding of the mercury drop by the tip of the capillary on the diffusion equation in pulse polarography was evaluated and the modified diffusion equation for instantaneous currents was tested, using a pulse polarograph constructed from solid, state components.

Concentration Polarization and the Polarographic Current-Time Curve. I. Rate of the Consecutive Reaction Consisting of the Linear Diffusion Process and the Electrode Reaction

TL;DR: In this paper, the differential equation of linear diffusion was solved with the boundary condition controlled by the chemical kinetics, and the result obtained gives the rate of the consecutive reaction consisting of the diffusion process and the electrode process.
