Reliability of ultrasound measurement of the lateral abdominal and lumbar multifidus muscles in individuals with chronic low back pain: A cross-sectional test-retest study.

TLDR
The findings indicate that US imaging has good to high intrarater within- and between-day reliability for assessing absolute thickness and contraction ratio of the trunk muscles on both right and left sides in patients with nonspecific CLBP.

Reliability of rehabilitative ultrasound imaging of the transversus abdominis and lumbar multifidus musculature

TL;DR: In this article, the intraexaminer and interexaminer reliability of rehabilitation ultrasound imaging (RUSI) in obtaining thickness measurements of the transversus abdominis (TrA) and lumbar multifidus muscles at rest and during contractions was evaluated.

Circular RNAs in Intervertebral Disc Degeneration: An Updated Review

TL;DR: A review aims to discuss the recent progress in the functions and mechanisms of newly discovered IDD-related circRNAs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mapping of lumbar multifidus stiffness Quantification in ankylosing spondylitis with shear-wave elastography

TL;DR: Li et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the characteristics of lumbar paraspinal-muscle (PSM) mass using muscle ultrasound shear-wave elastography (SWE), as well as the validity of this method for identifying patients with AS.

The Oswestry Disability Index.

TL;DR: The ODI remains a valid and vigorous measure and has been a worthwhile outcome measure, and the process of using the ODI is reviewed and should be the subject of further research.

Quantifying test-retest reliability using the intraclass correlation coefficient and the SEM.

TL;DR: In this review, the basics of classic reliability theory are addressed in the context of choosing and interpreting an ICC and how the SEM and its variants can be used to construct confidence intervals for individual scores and to determine the minimal difference needed to be exhibited for one to be confident that a true change in performance of an individual has occurred.

Rating systems in the evaluation of knee ligament injuries.

TL;DR: A new activity grading scale, where work and sport activities were graded numerically, was constructed as complement to the functional score, showing that the symptom-related score gave a more differentiated picture of the disability.

Multifidus size and symmetry among chronic LBP and healthy asymptomatic subjects.

TL;DR: The results of this study support previous findings that the pattern of multifidus muscle atrophy in chronic LBP patients is localized rather than generalized and between side asymmetry may be seen in chronicLBP patients presenting with a unilateral pain distribution.
