Abstract
Wood densification is an important way to improve properties of plantation grown Chinese Fir. This paper reviewed the current research of wood compression techniques,developed in China,for Chinese fir. It also analyzed some existing problems in compression recovery,chemical impregnation,and durability improvement. Finally,it provides suggestions and recommendations for future research and development in this area.
