Abstract
Religion is the fundamental basis of the cultural system prevailing in India. It is crucial because it promotes social camaraderie and strengthens social norms and belief. Although many economist and social scientist have been arguing about the impact of religion and culture on the economic development, still there exists a huge gap in proving the influence of religiosity and culture on individual's economic behaviour.
