TLDR
For linear multivariable control systems, the question of observing the state by means of sampling with arbitrary but fixed choice of the sampling instants is discussed in this paper, where the freedom due to this arbitrary choice is used to derive criteria for a choice of a sampling Instants which is as advantageous as possible as far as the propagation of measuring errors is concerned.

Moving horizon estimation with non-uniform sampling under component-based dynamic event-triggered transmission

TL;DR: This paper proposes a time-varying MH estimation method for linear systems with non-uniform sampling under component-based dynamic event-triggered transmission (DETT) scheme, where the desired estimator parameter is calculated by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities.

Adaptive sampling for improving the adaptation transients in hybrid adaptive control

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple method for the design of a hybrid adaptive control scheme by using adaptive sampling techniques so as to improve the adaptation transients is proposed, and some extensions which consider a parametric adaptation law involving a dead zone to achieve signal boundedness in the presence of bounded disturbances are also given.

Fundamental properties of linear control systems with after-effect-I

TL;DR: In this article, the properties of controllability and output control for continuous linear time-varying systems with multiple time-lag are investigated and the obtained results are then used to formulate local parametrical identifiability of such systems using the Hahn-Banach theorem.

Active sensing policies for stochastic systems

TL;DR: In this paper, an active sensing policy for systems with additive and parametric white noise is presented, which uses an open-loop estimator between sensings and a Kalman filter when observations are requested.

A note on the transmission of relative errors in the observability problem

TL;DR: Using the matrix condition number concept, an adequate choice of the sampling instants leads to an optimal transmission of relative errors in the observability problem as discussed by the authors, which is the case in this paper.

On the general theory of control systems

TL;DR: In this article, a general theory of control systems is outlined which answers many basic questions (what is controllable? why? how?) and gives a highly efficient method of computation.
