TLDR
No differences were found in reactions of men and women when DAF conditions were randomized, but women tended to adapt significantly more than men when Daf conditions were ordered.
Abstract
30 men and 30 women read paragraphs under no DAF and 5 different DAF conditions No differences were found in reactions of men and women when DAF conditions were randomized When DAF conditions were ordered, women tended to adapt significantly more than men

Effect of different delayed auditory feedback intervals on a music performance task

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of 12 different delay intervals were studied in a musical task involving performance on an electronic organ, and the results showed that three of the 12 Ss showed speeded performance under part of the range of DAF intervals, as compared with performance under immediate feedback.

Effects of auditory feedback on a musical performance task

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the effects of various feedback conditions on performance by 12 Ss on an electronic organ and found complete absence of auditory feedback to have little or no detrimental effect; some Ss played fastest under this condition.

Auditory temporal resolution: Gap detection as a function of interpulse frequency disparity

TL;DR: Gap detection thresholds, defined by the minimum temporal disparity between the offset of one pulse and the onset of a second, were used to describe auditory temporal resolution as discussed by the authors, which cannot be accounted for in terms of a simple temporal masking hypothesis.

Speech disruption under delayed auditory feedback in multilingual speakers

TL;DR: The existence of a language familiarity effect was confirmed and gender differences in the susceptibility to delayed auditory feedback did not reveal a clear gender difference.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effect of gender on the N1-P2 auditory complex while listening and speaking with altered auditory feedback.

TL;DR: Findings are consistent with the notions that speech production suppresses auditory cortex responsiveness and males and females process altered auditory feedback differently while speaking.

The Analysis of Variance

TL;DR: In this paper, the basic theory of analysis of variance by considering several different mathematical models is examined, including fixed-effects models with independent observations of equal variance and other models with different observations of variance.

Delayed auditory feedback.

Journal ArticleDOI

The influence of oral recall on immediate and delayed memory for meaningful material practiced under delayed auditory feedback.

TL;DR: Immediate memory for the material presented under DAF was severely impaired and delayed retention showed a marked relative increase, but not enough of an absolute increase to eliminate the significant difference between the experimental and the control groups.
