On the discovery of association rules by means of evolutionary algorithms

TL;DR: Association rule learning is a data mining task that tries to discover interesting relations between variables in large databases as discussed by the authors, and the main applications of association rule evolutionary learning covered by the specialized bibliography are reviewed.

On the discovery of association rules by means of evolutionary

TL;DR: A review of association rule learning is presented that focuses on the use of evolutionary algorithms not only applied to Boolean variables but also to categorical and quantitative ones.

MOEA/D-AMS: Improving MOEA/D by an adaptive mating selection mechanism

TL;DR: An adaptive mating selection mechanism for MOEA/D that classifies subproblems into solved ones and unsolved ones and selects only individuals of unsolved subpro problems and dynamically adjusts the mating pools of individuals according to their distance on the decision space is proposed.

Effects of diversity control in single-objective and multi-objective genetic algorithms

TL;DR: The results indicate that the use of diversity control with a correct parameter setting helps to prevent premature convergence in single-objectives optimisation and promotes the emergence of multi-objective solutions that are close to the true Pareto optimal solutions while maintaining a uniform solution distribution along the Pare to front.
