TLDR
In this article, the probability distributions of group delay, Doppler shift, and bandwidth have been found, and for the two former it is a Student's t-distribution, which depends only on first and second moments of power profiles, not on the details of the distribution of scatterers.Abstract:
For high signal-to noise ratios the channel quality is limited by phase variations in frequency and space. The probability distributions of group delay, Doppler shift, and bandwidth have been found, and for the two former it is a Student's t-distribution. The probability distributions depend only on the first and second moments of power profiles, not on the details of the distribution of scatterers. Implications for signal transmission are discussed briefly.read more

The Effects of Time Delay Spread on Portable Radio Communications Channels with Digital Modulation
TL;DR: A frequencyselective, slowly fading channel is studied by computer simulation and it is found that both GMSK and QPSK with a raised-cosine Nyquist pulse are suitable for a TDM/TDMA digital portable communications channel.

Digital sound broadcasting to mobile receivers
TL;DR: The authors describe a system that combines the orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing technique and a coding strategy associated with diversity in the frequency domain that is suitable for digital broadcasting through a particularly hostile urban radio channel.

The effects of multipath delay spread on timing recovery
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived the recovered timing for a squaring timing recovery circuit under multipath radio propagation and derived an expression for the recovery time for coherent and differential detections.

The Effects of Multipath Delay Spread on Timing Recovery.
TL;DR: Equations for the recovered timing for a squaring timing recovery circuit under multipath radio propagation are derived and it is found that for root mean square (rms) delay spread less than or equal to 0.1 of the symbol duration, aSquaring timing loop with either narrow or wide bandwidth can properly determine the timing detection.

Corrections to "The Effect of Frequency Selective Fading on the Binary Error Probabilities of Incoherent and Differentially Coherent Matched Filter Receivers"
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of frequency-selective fading on the binary error probabilities of incoherent and differentially coherent matched filter receivers employing postdetection diversity combining was investigated. But the analysis was limited to the case of a Gaussian frequency autocorrelation function.

The Influence of Fading Spectrum on the Binary Error Probabilites of Incoherent and Differentially Coherent Matched Filter Recievers
TL;DR: The results of the analysis indicate that care must be exercised in employing a "slow fading" assumption since, if low bit error probabilities are desired, significant degradations in performance can occur even though the fading rate is quite low relative to the data rate.
