TLDR
In this article, macromers obtained were polytetrahydrofuran-, polystyrene-, polyisoprene-, and poly(2-vinylpyridine)-macromers.
Abstract
Monodisperse and pure macromers were synthesized by means of living polymers of cationic and anionic polymerizations The macromers obtained were polytetrahydrofuran-, polystyrene-, polyisoprene-, and poly(2-vinylpyridine)-macromers The radical homopolymerizations of these macromers were performed, and the high reactivity of the macromers was revealed The radical copolymerizations of macromers with common small monomers were performed and r1 and r2 values were estimated The radical copolymerizations between two kinds of macromers were carried out to prepare a unique double-colored multibranch-polymer

Reactivity of macromonomers in free radical polymerization

TL;DR: Macromonomers are linear polymeric oligomeric species which, because of the presence of a reactive end group, have the potential either to polymerize with themselves or with comonomers.

Macromonomers, Oligomers and Telechelic Polymers

TL;DR: A telechelic is an oligomer containing at least one reactive end group, while a macromonomer is generally considered to be one of the three classes of oligomers as mentioned in this paper.

Cationic synthesis of macromers

TL;DR: In this article, unsaturated oxocarbenium salts were used to initiate the polymerization of THF and the macromers obtained were characterized carefully, and it was found that these species are well defined, of narrow molecular weight distribution, and fitted quantitatively with end standing polymerizable double bonds.

Preparation of methacryloyloxyl polytetrahydrofuran macromer

TL;DR: In this paper, a high purity MA-PTHF macromer was obtained by a coupling method which involved the reaction of sodium methacrylate with living PTHF, indicating one vinyl group per molecule.
