The effect of distortion on the lowest natural frequency of a rectangular steel plate

TLDR
In this paper, a series of tests have been carried out to determine the variation of natural frequency of an approximately clamped rectangular plate subject to an increasing amount of lateral distortion, and the experimental results correlate well with existing theory.

Nonlinear vibrations of a clamped rectangular plate with initial deflection and initial edge displacement— Part II: Experiment

TL;DR: Theoretical analyses for nonlinear vibrations of a clamped rectangular plate under a uniformly distributed periodic load, with the effect of both initial deflection and initial edge displacement taken into consideration, are presented in this paper.

Non-linear vibrations of a clamped circular plate with initial deflection and initial edge displacement, part I: Theory

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of both initial deflection and initial edge displacement on axisymmetric non-linear vibrations of a clamped circular plate of isotropic materials, under uniformly distributed lateral loading, with the effect taken into consideration.

Interrelation of structural stability, stiffness, residual stress and natural frequency

TL;DR: In this article, a discussion of recent theories to relate stability load, stiffness, frequency and residual stress has been made, and the results have been reported here in order to reveal the range of relationships that can be found among these four structural features, and to demonstrate a reasonably sound basis for non-destructive testing procedures to determine residual stresses and structural stability.

Experiments and simulations for large-amplitude vibrations of rectangular plates carrying concentrated masses

TL;DR: In this paper, large-amplitude (geometrically nonlinear) forced vibrations of a stainless-steel thin rectangular plate carrying different concentrated masses are experimentally studied, and the experimental boundary conditions are close to those of a clamped plate.

Non-linear vibrations of a clamped circular plate with initial deflection and initial edge displacement, part II: Experiment

TL;DR: In this article, detailed experimental results have been obtained on the nonlinear response of a clamped circular plate under a uniformly distributed periodic load, which is subjected to various initial edge displacements.
