TL;DR: In this paper, a survey consisting of a profile case best-worst scaling (BWS) and traditional Discrete Choice Experiment (DCE) methods was conducted to assess public preferences for funding new health technologies; the results showed that respondents exhibited stronger preferences for technologies offering prevention or early diagnosis over those that improved quality of life, reduced side effects, reduced waiting times, or improved survival.
