On tasty colours and colourful tastes? Assessing, explaining, and utilizing crossmodal correspondences between colours and basic tastes

TL;DR: Some of the innovative ways in which chefs, culinary artists, designers, and marketers are taking the latest insights from research in this area as inspiration for their own creative endeavours are looked at.
Journal ArticleDOI

Indecision and avoidant procrastination: The role of morningness- eveningness and time perspective in chronic delay lifestyles

TL;DR: It is inferred that distinct forms of procrastination seem different on the basis of dimensions of time, whereas indecision related to both high negative and high positive past orientations and low present-hedonistic and low future time orientations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional equivalence or behavioural matching? A critical reflection on 15 years of research using the PETTLEP model of motor imagery.

TL;DR: It is important to provide a contemporary critical reflection on motor imagery research conducted using the PETTLEP model, and to offer suggestions for, and new directions in, research in this field.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regional patterns of cortical blood flow distinguish extraverts from introverts

TL;DR: In this paper, regional cerebral blood flow measurement in 37 healthy subjects was made at rest using the “)Xe-inhalation method, and it was found that higher temporal lobe activity in introverts may be interpreted as increased functional connections between cortex and the limbic system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Consciousness of targets during the attentional blink: a gradual or all-or-none dimension?

TL;DR: Results are presented showing that this all-or-none rating pattern disappears with the use of an alternative measure of consciousness (post-decision wagering) and a more difficult identification task, which is more consistent with models that assume a gradual change between nonconscious and conscious perception during the attentional blink.
