Metal-Catalyzed Oxidations of Organic Compounds in the Liquid Phase: A Mechanistic Approach

TL;DR: In this article, the subject of metal-catalyzed oxidations of organic compounds in the liquid phase, largely within a mechanistic framework, has been discussed and a better understanding of the catalytic action of metal complexes is essential from the view of increasing selectivity and efficiency.

Cycloaddition of group VIII metal-dioxygen complexes to electrophilic olefins

TL;DR: The dioxygen complexes (Ph 3 P) 2 MO 2 (M  Pd, Pt) readily add to electrophilic olefins, such as 1,1-dicyano-olefins as mentioned in this paper, at room temperature, to give cyclic peroxy-adducts in high yield.

Homogeneous hydrogenation of unsaturated compounds catalyzed by Pd complexes: I. Scope and effect of variables

E.W. Stern, +1 more
- 01 Oct 1972 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the scope of activity and selectivity in hydrogenations of unsaturated compounds catalyzed by a number of Pd complexes has been explored and the nature of substrates was found to be the most important and to determine the relative effect of other variables.

Polyoxoanion-supported, atomically dispersed transition metals: The catalytic oxidation of cyclohexene with dioxygen by the catalyst precursors 6(n-C4H9)4N95Na36(1,5-COD)IraP2W15Nb3O629, 6(n-C4H9)4N95Na36(1,5-COD)RhaP2W15Nb3O629, and 6(n-C4H9)4N94.5Na2.56(C6H6)RuaP2W15Nb3O629

TL;DR: The polyoxoanion-supported iridium(I) complex showed the highest activity of this group with a turnover frequency of 2.9 h −1 at 38°C in CH 2 Cl 2 (540 total turnovers), which is 100-fold greater than its parent iridium compound, [(1,5-COD)IrCl] 2.

Analysis of the ESR Spectrum of a Rhodium (II) Complex

TL;DR: The ESR spectra of definite Rh(II) species have so far been claimed for Rh in ZnWO3 2, [Rh S4C4(CN)4] as mentioned in this paper.
