Journal ArticleDOI
The polarographic determination of aluminium
M. Perkins,G.F. Reynolds +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a survay is made of the methods available for the determination of microgram quantities of aluminium, together with techniques for its separation from interfering ion species, and a method involving the modification, by this element, of the polarographic characteristics of a diortho-hydroxy azo dye.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ionic medium effects on equilibrium constants. Part I. Proton, copper(II), cadmium(II), lead(II) and acetate activity coefficients in aqueous solution
TL;DR: The investigation was carried out potentiometrically by using proton-sensitive glass, copper, cadmium and lead ion-selective electrodes and a second-class Hg|Hg2(CH3COO)2 electrode and found that the activity coefficients of these ions can be assessed through the following empirical equations.
Journal ArticleDOI
The silver/silver acetate electrode Part I. Standard potential in formamide at 25°C
TL;DR: In this article, the e.m.f. of the cell Pt/H2/HOAc, m/AgOAc/Ag has been measured at 25° using formamide as the solvent.
Book ChapterDOI
Reference Electrodes for Use in Nonaqueous Solutions
TL;DR: In this article, the reference electrodes used in nonaqueous solvents can be classified into two groups: aqueous reference electrodes are usually an Ag/AgCl electrode and a calomel electrode.
Journal ArticleDOI
Über die Verwendung einfacher Indicator- und Bezugselektroden bei potentiometrischen Titrationen in nichtwäßrigen Lösungsmitteln
TL;DR: In this article, the Gehalt von technisch hergestellten sekundaren und tertiaren aliphatischen Aminen and deren Gemischen in Acetonitril, Alkoholen, Eisessig and Essigsaureanhydrid durch potentiometrische Titration bestimmt.
