Thoracic Venous Anomalies

TLDR
The radiologic findings of various anomalies of the pulmonary and systemic venous systems in the thorax are described to avoid misinterpretation and then performing unnecessary additional studies.
Abstract
The radiographic findings of normal and abnormal vascular structures can mimic soft-tissue masses and this can lead to inappropriate diagnostic procedures. An awareness of these anatomical features is required to avoid misinterpretation and then performing unnecessary additional studies. The purpose of this pictorial essay is to describe the radiologic findings of various anomalies of the pulmonary and systemic venous systems in the thorax.

Left superior vena cava: revisited

TL;DR: The use of 3D contrast-enhanced MR venography has proven extremely helpful in characterizing anomalous vasculature, and it is demonstrated how such techniques can help delineate the anomaly and differentiate from its mimics.

TL;DR: The incidental finding of isolated PLSVC in a patient who underwent aortic valve replacement is presented and it is shown that this condition can pose clinical difficulties with central venous access, cardiothoracic surgeries, and pacemaker implantation.
