Minimum-entropy autofocus for three-dimensional SAR imaging

TL;DR: This work presents a method for forming a 3D SAR image from multiple coherently aligned 2D SAR images collected at different viewing geometries, where the joint coherent alignment is performed by directly optimizing the 3d SAR image entropy.

Time-frequency analysis of vibrating targets in airborne SAR systems

T. Sparr, +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the adaptive optimal kernel (AOK) method was used to analyze an oscillating reflector within an airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image, and the amplitude and the oscillation frequency were estimated from the time-frequency distribution.

Reconstruction of Urban Surface Models from Multi-Aspect and Multi-Baseline Interferometric SAR

TL;DR: In this article, the reconstruction of surface models of city areas by airborne single-pass SAR interferometry is investigated, and two adaptive filtering approaches for the estimation of the necessary covariance matrices are designed.

Change Detection in High-Resolution SAR Images Based on Jensen–Shannon Divergence and Hierarchical Markov Model

TL;DR: This paper proposes to use Jensen-Shannon divergence (JSD) to measure the dissimilarity of the two scenes acquired at different times for deriving the difference map (DM), and figures out this divergence in a nonparametric way by introducing a direct density ratio estimation, making the DM generation free of distribution assumption.

High-Resolution InSAR Building Layovers Detection and Exploitation

TL;DR: It is shown that building layovers create a regular pattern in the mapping counter, a map describing the number of occurrences of a SAR pixel in the elevation model, and it is demonstrated that in X-band, for a single interferogram, just one layover contributor can be extracted with a sufficient accuracy.
