Modified isothermal discharge current theory and its application in the determination of trap level distribution in polyimide films

TL;DR: In this article, a modified isothermal discharge current (MIDC) was thoroughly investigated in order to obtain the trap level distribution in polymers in this theory, a new function was defined to weight the contribution of any trap level to the depolarization current at an instant time The demarcation energy was used to study the trap empty process.

Nanoparticle effects on creeping flashover characteristics of oil/pressboard interface

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of TiO2 nanoparticles on creeping discharge and flashover characteristics of the oil/pressboard interface under AC and impulse voltages were investigated, which revealed that the space charge dissipation rate at the surface of NPs is much faster than that of OPs.

Study of space charge accumulation in polyolefins submitted to ac stress

TL;DR: In this article, the authors follow space charge formation under ac field (50 Hz) in polyolefins and find that the amount of charge accumulated under ac conditions may reach a maximum value at a given temperature, while the highest space charge was found in the polyolefin with the lowest crystallinity ratio.

Influence of nano layer structure of polyimide film on space charge behavior and trap levels

TL;DR: In this article, two techniques, Pulse Electro Acoustic (PEA) and Thermal Stimulated Current (TSC), are combined to characterize space charge behavior and trap levels in order to predict failure conditions of insulation materials.

Space charge in polyethylene/ionomer blends

TL;DR: In this article, thermally stimulated currents were made on ionomer/polyethylene blends and two ionomers were compared; both ionomers contained methacrylic acid, neutralized by zinc in one and by sodium in the other.
