XTIVREG28: Stata module to perform extended IV/2SLS, GMM and AC/HAC, LIML and k-class regression for panel data models (version 8)

TLDR
xtivreg2 as mentioned in this paper is a wrapper for ivreg28, which can be installed on Stata versions 9+ and can be used to estimate fixed-effects and first-difference panel data models with possibly endogenous regressors.
Abstract
xtivreg28 implements IV/GMM estimation of the fixed-effects and first-differences panel data models with possibly endogenous regressors. It is essentially a wrapper for ivreg28, which must be installed for xtivreg28 to run. Users of Stata versions 9+ should use xtivreg2. xtivreg28 supports all the estimation and reporting options of ivreg28; see help ivreg28 for full descriptions and examples. In particular, all the statistics available with ivreg28 (heteroskedastic, cluster- and autocorrelation-robust covariance matrix and standard errors, overidentification and orthogonality tests, first-stage and weak/underidentification statistics, etc.) are also supported by xtivreg2 and will be reported with any degrees-of-freedom adjustments required for a panel data estimation.

Informal adult care and caregivers' employment in Europe

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss instrumental variable estimates of the effect of providing unpaid adult care on the caregivers' probability of being employed, using eight waves of the European Community Household Panel, focusing on men aged 40−64 and women aged 40-59 from thirteen Member States, aggregated in two groups of Northern-Central and Southern countries.

Broader health coverage is good for the nation's health: evidence from country level panel data

TL;DR: It is indicated that expanded health coverage, particularly through higher levels of publicly funded health spending, results in lower child and adult mortality, with the beneficial effect on child mortality being larger in poorer countries.

Physicians' prescribing preferences were a potential instrument for patients' actual prescriptions of antidepressants.

TL;DR: The main instrumental variable assumptions held, suggesting that physicians' prescribing preferences are valid instruments for evaluating the short-term effects of antidepressants.

The Structure of Protection and Growth in the Late Nineteenth Century

TL;DR: This article explored the relationship between economic growth and agricultural tariffs, industrial tariffs, and revenue tariffs for a sample of relatively well-developed countries between 1875 and 1913, and found that industrial tariffs were positively correlated with growth, and agriculture tariffs were generally negatively correlated with economic growth.

Does competition from ambulatory surgical centers affect hospital surgical output

TL;DR: It is shown that ASC entry only appears to influence a hospital's outpatient surgical volume if the facilities are within a few miles of each other, and that the effect is stronger for large ASCs and the first ASCs to enter a market.
