Journal ArticleDOI
idPAD: Paper Analytical Device for Presumptive Identification of Illicit Drugs.
Tracy-Lynn E. Lockwood,Tammy X. Leong,Sarah L. Bliese,Alec Helmke,Alex Richard,Getahun Merga,John Rorabeck,Marya Lieberman +7 more
TL;DR: A paper‐based analytical device that can run a library of 12 colorimetric tests at the same time, each detecting different chemical functional groups and materials found in illicit drugs, distractor substances, and cutting agents is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diesel Biodegradation Capacities and Biosurfactant Production in Saline-Alkaline Conditions by Delftia sp NL1, Isolated from an Algerian Oilfield
Nesrine Lenchi,Salima Kebbouche-Gana,Pierre Servais,Mohamed Lamine Gana,Marc Llirós,Marc Llirós +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a diesel oil-degrading bacterium was isolated from an oilfield water injection (water-bearing formations, 1,205m depth) in Algeria.
Dissertation
The impact of dehydration and rehydration on brewing yeast
TL;DR: It has been demonstrated that viability is impaired in these slurries, though the extent of viability loss was dependent on strain and rehydration conditions, and it is proposed that ADY could be utilised to replace freshly propagated yeast, but direct addition to fermenters would require an improvement of performance during the first fermentation.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Fingerprint acquisition for the criminal investigation by digital holography
TL;DR: Both the theoretical analysis and the experimental results showed that digital holography does not destroy the on-site fingerprints, overcomes the shortcomings of traditional fingerprint acquisition methods, and as a simple and effective acquisition method can be applied to the criminal investigation field.
