Detailed calculations and simulation examples are presented to show that this zoom lens system appears viable as the next-generation zoom lens.
The main advantage of such an optical system is the possibility to achieve required zooming properties without any mechanical movement of individual components of the zoom lens.
In this way the zoom system can be easily configured for applications with compact space claims such as small turrets or gimbals.

What are the reasons behind the use of Zoom in out of field teaching in robotics?5 answersZoom is utilized in out-of-field teaching in robotics due to the need for remote access and distance education during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. State-of-the-art telepresence approaches, such as telepresence robots, offer immersive interfaces that enhance social presence and interaction, compensating for mobility limitations and fostering language learning and intercultural exchange. Additionally, the introduction of robotics into education aims to address talent scarcity by promoting active teaching methods through platforms like INNOBOT, a 6 degrees-of-freedom robotics platform designed for practical skill development in robotics. Moreover, telepresence robots have been successfully used to provide diverse teaching experiences in rural schools, enabling teacher candidates to access inaccessible locations for field experiences. Overall, Zoom facilitates out-of-field teaching in robotics by enabling remote access, enhancing social interaction, and addressing talent development needs.
What are the best practices for using Zoom for project management?5 answersThe best practices for using Zoom for project management include utilizing design features such as screen share, whiteboard, and file sharing to support productivity in architectural consulting firms during the pandemic era. Additionally, Zoom has been found to be an effective distance learning medium, with a success rate of 100% in mathematics learning on currency equivalence material. The use of Zoom in collaborative, online, international learning (COIL) has also been highlighted as important for developing intercultural and global competencies, particularly in the context of pandemic teaching and the post-pandemic new norm. Furthermore, visual project management (VPM) practices, including the use of visual tools and elements, have been identified as fundamental for efficient and effective project management, and Zoom can be considered as a visual management tool in project work settings.
Can Zoom proctor see your screen?5 answersZoom proctors cannot see your screen. The abstracts provided do not directly address the question of whether Zoom proctors have the ability to see a participant's screen. However, the abstracts discuss various aspects of Zoom, such as using Zoom for movement and dance classes, virtual assessment in speech and language, and a measurement study comparing Zoom with other videoconferencing systems. None of these abstracts mention the ability of Zoom proctors to view a participant's screen. Therefore, based on the information provided, it can be inferred that Zoom proctors do not have the capability to see a participant's screen.
