Traditionally, the migration decision process is believed to be mainly composed of two criteria: “whether to move” and “where to move.” However, the empirical evidence of nonlinearity found in this study supports the potential presence of another important decision criterion, “when to move” on interregional migration.
While no project delivery option is perfect, one may be better suited than another based on the requirements of a particular project.

Compared to our existing LMS, GitLab is readily equipped with more elaborate features for reviewing, commenting, and discussing code submitted by others, and the process is similar to industrial practice.
Although there are some unique technical skills required to deploy client/server systems effectively, confirming project management lessons from the past is consoling to practitioners and academics alike.
Overall, this study sheds light on the underexplored question of how to make mid-project corrections by effectively identifying and managing shifts in project complexity.

We observe that GitLab is similar to other code-hosting services with regard to its network structure.
Such an approach, I suggest, can contribute to the economic geography of projects in three ways; first it moves beyond structural analyses to allow for an understanding of the importance of agency in project work; second it allows us to move on from firm-level analyses to develop an understanding of the complex social networks involved in project-based working; and finally it moves on from research at the meso-level on inter- and intra-firm networks to provide micro-level analyses of project work.
