The authors argue that entrepreneurship is a multidimensional construct and that EMAQ can give insight into whether a person might succeed as an entrepreneur.
However, each component of dietetic education contributed a unique aspect of professional development that is necessary in the preparation of an entry-level dietitian.
Identification of these factors indicates a need for continued ED resource development for registered dietitian nutritionists to provide optimal care.
Nevertheless, various exposures to the challenges of being an entrepreneur via the education programmes may lower their intention to be entrepreneurs.
This review suggests a need for further development of dietitian preceptor training, as well as for further research specific to dietetic interns' needs.
The role of the community dietitian should be promoted.
Dietetic educators must attend to the informational and relational aspects involved in shaping future practitioners' dietitian identities.
