TL;DR: The levels and the rates of synthesis of DNA and RNA during the life cycle of Lucilia cuprina have been estimated and there is a considerable increase in the synthesis of a species of RNA containing a sequence relatively rich in adenine, and appearing to have the properties of messenger RNA.
