TL;DR: In this article, the michelia fuscata essential oil extracted by a vacuum water bath, and application thereof, was provided, which can be used as a flavouring agent, and also used as aroma chemicals and cigarette flavor.
Abstract: The invention provides michelia fuscata essential oil extracted by a vacuum water bath, and application thereof. The michelia fuscata essential oil is prepared by the following processes of: scalding the fresh michelia fuscata for three seconds by boiling water of 100 DEG C, pouring the scalded fresh flower and water of 60 DEG C into a round evaporator at the ratio of 1/2; firstly, carrying out rotary water bath for 10 minutes; then opening a vacuum pump to concentrate for 30 minutes in vacuum at 50 DEG C until no oily matter is generated; feeding volatile oil-water mixed vapor to a condenser, refluxing the vapor to an oil-water separating device in a condenser pipe because of low-temperature liquefaction; and obtaining the michelia fuscata essential oil by oil-water separation. The michelia fuscata essential oil prepared by the invention can be used as a flavouring agent, and also can be used as aroma chemicals and cigarette flavor. By combining with a vacuum technology, the oil yield of the fresh flower is improved under the premise of ensuring the activity of the michelia fuscata aromatic substance; and the processing cost is reduced.

TL;DR: A new name is proposed and seventeen new combinations are made as a result of the previous reduction of the remaining genera of subfamily Magnolioideae (Magnoliaceae) into the genus Magnolia as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: A new name is proposed and seventeen new combinations are made as a result of the previous reduction of the remaining genera of subfamily Magnolioideae (Magnoliaceae) into the genus Magnolia. The replacement name Magnolia fansipanensis is proposed for Manglietia crassifolia Q. N. Vu et al., since its transfer to Magnolia would create an illegitimate later homonym of the fossil name M. crassifolia Gopp. A further 17 new combinations are made to transfer the following taxa to Magnolia: Manglietia guangzhouensis A. Q. Dong et al., M. kaifui Q. W. Zeng & X. M. Hu, M. lawii N. H. Xia & W. F. Liao, plus Michelia concinna H. Jiang & E. D. Liu, M. jianfenglingensis G. A. Fu & K. Pan, M. viridipetala Y. W. Law et al., M. wuzhishangensis G. A. Fu & K. Pan, M. xianianhei Q. N. Vu and Yulania carnosa D. L. Fu & D. L. Zhang, Y. cuneatofolia T. B. Chao (probably Zhao) et al., Y. dabieshanensis T. B. Zhao et al., Y. dimorpha T. B. Zhao & Z. X. Chen, Y. fragarigynandria T. B. Zhao et al., Y. shirenshanensis D. L. Fu & T. B. Zhao, Y. shizhenii D. L. Fu & F. W. Li, Y. verrucata D. L. Fu et al. and Y. xinyangensis T. B. Zhao et al. The transfer of the above taxa to Magnolia is necessary following the present almost universal recognition of Magnolioideae as one of two monogeneric subfamilies within Magnoliaceae.

TL;DR: The diurnal changes trend and the values of Fv/Fm in a whole day in winter indicated that the effects of stress on the photosynthetic tissues of four michelia trees were only reversible.
Abstract: The diurnal changes of chlorophyll fluorescence parameter Fv/Fm of seedlings of Michelia maudiae,Michelia platypetala,Michelia foveolata and Michelia wilsonii in different seasons and correlations be-tween Fv/Fm values and photosynthetically active radiation(PAR),air temperature(Ta)and air humidity(RH)were studied in this paper. The diurnal change range of Fv/Fm of four michelia trees in spring was small and the values in a whole day were higher than 0.75.There was no significant correlation between the chlorophyll fluo-rescence parameter Fv/Fm of four michelia trees and PAR,Ta and RH in spring. The values of Fv/Fm in a wole day in summer showed a trend of descending first and then ascending and the lowest values(﹤0.75)appeared between 12:00 and 14:00.A negative relation was founded between Fv/Fm value of Michelia maudiae and Ta and RH,while a positive correlation between Fv/Fm value of Michelia platypetala and Ta and RH in summer;there was a significant negative correlation between Fv/Fm value of Michelia foveolata and PAR and Ta in summer.Based on the diurnal changes trend and the Fv/Fm value in a whole day,the effects of reversible stress on the photosynthetic tissues of Michelia maudiae,Michelia platypetala and Michelia foveolata were founded in summer from 12:00 to 14:00.The significant negative correlation and positive correlation between the values of Fv/Fm of Michelia wilsonii and Ta and RH were also founded in summer, respectively. The values of Fv/Fm of Michelia wilsonii in a whole day in summer were below 0.75,indicating that there was irreversible stress effect on the pho-tosynthetic tissues of Michelia wilsonii in summer. The diurnal change of Fv/Fm of Michelia wilsonii in autumn presented a trend of descending first and then ascending, and the lowest value(0.72)was at 14:00,and there was a significant postive correlation between the value of Fv/Fm and RH.The diurnal changes of Fv/Fm of the other three michelia trees in autumn were small, and the values were higher than 0.75 in a whole day.Meanwhile,no significant correlation between the values of Fv/Fm of three michelia trees mentioned above, and PAR,Ta and RH were founded from experimental results in autumn. The diurnal changes of Fv/Fm of four michelia trees in winter were ascending at first and then descending, and significant postive correlation between the Fv/Fm and Ta was showed from the experimental results. The diurnal changes trend and the values of Fv/Fm in a whole day in winter indicated that the effects of stress on the photosynthetic tissues of four michelia trees were only reversible.

TL;DR: The genetic polymorphisms and relationship of 7 kinds of magnoliaceae evergreen plants with AFLP and ISSR markers showed that plants in Magnolia and Michelia were clustered together, and the genetic differences between them could be identified by molecular markers.
Abstract: To establish optimized reaction system and construct phenetic trees,we analysed the genetic polymorphisms and relationship of 7 kinds of magnoliaceae evergreen plants with AFLP and ISSR markers.7 kinds of materials were analysed with 11 screened primers by ISSR and 131 bands were obtained, and 86 of them were polymorphic bands, each primer producing 11.10 bands, with an average polymorphism detection rate of 70.37%,which indicated that the polymorphism between those plant materials germplasm was very high. And then the 7 kinds of materials were analysed with 22 pairs of EcoR Ⅰ/Mse Ⅰ primer combinations by AFLP,1 310 bands, and 1 204 of them were polymorphism bands, each pair of primer producing 59 bands, and the polymorphism rate was 92.5%.The results of these two molecular markers showed that plants in Magnolia and Michelia were clustered together, the genetic differences between them could be identified by molecular markers, however, the Manglietia duclouxii in Magnoliaceae showed the most significant differences in clustering analysis, especially compared with Michelia, although their external form were similar, the genetic distance was farther. The study also found that among these two groups of genetic similarity coefficient, there were some numbers beyond the range of 0 to 1.This phenomenon was partial separation, and it is preliminarily infered that it was related with the sources of plant materials.
