Abstract: The jack comprises a tubular primary screw (10) provided with an outer screw thread and an inner screw thread having opposite thread hands, a secondary screw (11) cooperative with the inner screw thread and having an end (11a) articulated to a fixed point, a nut (9) fixed in rotation and connected to move in translation with the element to be adjusted and cooperative with the outer screw thread, a speed reducer associated with a motor (M) for driving the primary screw (10) in rotation, and means for preventing a rotation of the speed reducer (13) relative to the nut (9). These means comprise an articulated compass structure (18) having two branches (18a, 18b) articulated together. One of the branches is also articulated to the speed reducer (13) while the other branch is articulated to a part (9) of the jack which is fixed in rotation. The compass structure (18) considerably reduces the friction and improves the efficiency of the jack.

Abstract: A stepless speed reducer includes the mechanical power transmission lines for high speed and low speed, the two lines being selectively concluded to effect power transmission. When the working speed ratio comes near a predetermined critical speed ratio, the operation is maintained at the critical speed ratio while the pump motor for low speed is kept inoperative and no pressure difference exists between the transmission circuits, thereby transmitting power through the line for high speed.

Abstract: In combination with a conventional vehicle accessory drive pulley directly mounted and driven by a crankshaft 10 an epicyclic gear speed reducer set (F) is assembled as a unit A which comprises input and reaction sun gears (B,C). A combination planet carrier and drive casing (D) carries a plurality of compound planets (40,42), and an idler gear (43). Drive casing (D) of the assembly includes an integral pulley (34). Locking the reaction sun gear (C) to the carrier drive casing (D) produces a direct drive between the crankshaft and accessory. Braking the reaction sun gear to the engine frame (58), will switch the pulley assembly from direct drive to a reduction drive. This is accomplished automatically at a predetermined vehicle speed.

Abstract: A motor-speed reducer includes a driving input shaft, an output shaft and a deformable coupling coupling the input shaft to the output shaft. The coupling includes a worm and a speed reducer driven by the worm. A sensor is also provided for detecting torque between the input shaft and the output shaft during operation of the device which causes deformation of the coupling. The sensor includes two electrically conductive tracks. One track is associated with an input side of the coupling and the other track is associated with an output side of the coupling. An electrical circuit is connected to the tracks and monitors movement of each track to detect a change in torque as a function of a change in the movement of one of the electrically conductive tracks relative to the other track.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To evaluate the various characteristics of a rotation transmitting body, by quick-starting and-braking a tachogenerator and rotary encoder integral type servo motor being the drive motor to the rotation transmitting body. CONSTITUTION:When a drive motor 1 is quick-braked from steady rotation, since the input shaft of a speed reducer 4 as an object to be tested is ready to stop but a fly wheel 6 as load is ready to continuously rotate by its inertia, said quick braking acts on the output shaft of the speed reducer 4 as quick load. The braking characteristic of the speed reducer 4 at this time is measured. That is, load torque is measured by a torque meter 5, an input rotational speed is measured by a drive side DC tachometer 2, an input signal of rotation and a rotational speed are measured by a drive side rotary encoder 3, an output rotational speed is measured by a load side DC tachometer 8, and an output rotational speed and an angle of rotation are measured by a load side rotary encoder 7. By this method, various characteristics of a rotation transmitting body can be evaluated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve quality and productivity by providing a control system which makes decision as to the adequateness or inadequateness of molding from the pressurizing forces generated by respective punches, the calculation of an adequate packing depth and the change of molding conditions at every molding cycle, thereby maintaining the specified molding pressure. CONSTITUTION:This press has an upper punch 41 driving mechanism having a servo motor, speed reducer, and link mechanism, etc., a lower 1st punch 13 driving mechanism likewise having a servo motor, etc., and a lower 2nd punch 28 driving mechanism having a servo motor, etc., and precision guides. The press has a powder feed means installed movably rectilinearly back and forth on a feeder table. The press has molding pressure detecting means consisting of the load cells of the respective punches and the position detecting means of the respective punches. The press is constituted of the control system consisting of a computer, NC controller and sequencer for executing the formation of operation data and NC programs and monitoring of the operating condition of the press. All of the setting of the positions and moving quantity of the respective punches are executed by the computer in this way and, therefore, the setting is exact and has reproducibility and the productivity is improved.

Abstract: This article describes the design and control of a lightweight robot finger intended for tactile sensing research. The finger is a three-link planar chain with the joints actuated through cables by two motors. Kinematic coupling of the three joints provides two degrees of freedom for finger tip manipulation, and a curling action of the finger for enclosing an object. Hall effect sensors in each joint provide position feedback, and strain gage sensors on each cable provide tension information. To minimize weight and power consumption, a high speed low torque motor together with a 172:1 speed reducer is used as the actuator. A force control loop around the motor speed reducer system reduces the effect of the friction inherent in the speed reducer. Flat mounting plates are provided on each link for special purpose grasping surfaces and sensors.

In the other rotation axis of the motor 10, a rotary encoder disk 12 is rotated, pulses corresponding to the number of rotations are generated by a photoelectric transfer device 13 to form the moving pulse to the sub- scanning direction and synchronize a main scanning and the sub-scanning.

CONSTITUTION:External gears 441 and 442 are fitted in eccentric bodies 421 and 422 of an intermediate accentric body shaft 41 at the side of an input shaft via a roller 43, and the trochoidal external gear is inscribedly engaged with a circular tooth profile consisting of an outer pin 46 of an internal gear 45, constituting a first step speed reducing part. At a second step speed reducing part, external gears 651 and 652 are fitted in eccentric bodies 631 and 632 of the hollow eccentric body shaft 62 connected to the first external gear 44 via a roller 66 by an inner roller 48, and the trochoidal tooth profile is inscribedly engaged with a circular tooth profile consisting of an outer pin 69 of an internal gear 68, thus outputted from an output flange 72 by an inner pin 71. Here, a difference in the number of teeth between the internal gear 68 and the external gear 65 is made into more than two teeth. Thus, a high reduction gear ratio capable of transferring a large torque is secured, and the promotion of miniaturization and lightweightiness can be made possible.

CONSTITUTION:The gear ratio between a motor shaft pulley 3 and the input shaft pulley 4 of a harmonic drive speed reducer 2 is set to 1:2, and both pulleys 3, 4 are connected by a timing belt 5. The motor shaft pulley 3 is formed in an eccentric pulley. Accordingly, two torque fluctuations generated due to the harmonic driven speed reducer 2 for each rotation of the speed reducer input shaft are negated, and the resonance vibration of a robot arm or the like can be reduced.

CONSTITUTION: At furnace center part in a bell-less type blast furnace, the vertical chute 1 and a charging chute 2 protruding downward to radius direction from the lower part thereof are fitted, and further, at the end part of the charging chute 2, the lower chute 3 is fitted to be inclinable. In the above raw material charging apparatus in the blast furnace, the vertical chute 1 is rotated by driving the turning motor 13 through the revolving Roballo 11 and a differential reducer 14 fitted on outer circumference of the vertical chute 1. On the other hand, the above lower chute 3 is rotationally inclinedly revolved by driving the inclinable motor 16 through gears 18, 19, the transmitting shaft 12 longitudinally penetrating the vertical chute 1 and the differential reducer 14. By the raw material charging apparatus having simple chute driving mechanism, the raw material for the blast furnace is charged in the prescribed position in the furnace. CONSTITUTION: A speed reducer 60 is composed by equipping an input rotating shaft 61, a 1st speed reducing part 60a, 2nd speed reducing part 60b, output rotating shaft 62, outer case 64 and a pair of bearings 65. The bearings 65 are interposed as the incorporated element integrated between the 1st and 2nd speed reducing parts 60a, 60b and outer case 64, forming the rotating bearings of between an input system and output system and functioning as the bearing performing the rotating support of between the robot fixing base and robot revolving barrel. Accordingly, the robot parts of the bearing which was necessitated in the past, the holder holding it, etc., are reduceable and the number of the robots parts can be reduced. Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive spray gun excellent in a uniform coating property, by mounting a battery in the spray gun and utilizing compressed air sucked by the rotating of a motor to spray paint. CONSTITUTION:A motor 2 is started by the power of a battery 8. After the rotatory power of the motor 2 is reduced by a speed reducer 3, a cam 4 is rotated by larger torque and compressed air is obtained by the sucking compression operation of an air compressing member 5 and guided to a spray nozzle 7 from an exhaust valve 62 by piping. A gas nozzle 71 has an orifice at the leading end part thereof and the compressed air enhanced in the flow speed at said orifice sucks up the liquid in a liquid receiving tank 10 by siphon action to atomize the same from a liquid nozzle 72. By operating a spray amount control needle 73, a fine blow-off width of about 5-50mm is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent generation of seizing of a roll caliber part and of flaws at edge parts of a seamless steel tube by forming an oil film of a lubricating oil on an area in the caliber part of a grooved roll whose roll peripheral speed difference from that of the caliber central part exceeds a specific value. CONSTITUTION:In a roll lubricator, a lubricating oil 15 is supplied to respective stands through a pump 14, distributor 12. The oil 15 is mixed and sprayed with an air 16 supplied to respective stands by an air distributor 13 by a mixer 11 at a prescribed ratio. The spray is equally distributed toward edge parts 4 at both end of a stretch reducer roll 1 through a lubricating oil injection pressure control valve 10 and a lubricating oil equalizer 9 in a roll stand. The oil 15 is sprayed onto the edge parts 4 by injection nozzles 7 to form lubrication areas 6 whose spread width is over an area whose roll peripheral speed difference from that of the roll caliber central part is >=0.45 m/sec. A roll cooling water 17 is injected from an injection nozzle 18 to form a non-lubricating area 5. Thus, seizing of the roll caliber part is prevented.

The hub 11 having been connected with an elliptical cam 10 is supported by a bearing 32 provided between the face plate 31 and itself so as to set the position in the axial direction. Abstract: PURPOSE: To increase the workabillty of functional inspection by rotating a rotating plate usually together with an input shaft of a speed reducer so as to detect the traveling speed of a passenger conveyor and, when the functional inspection of a speed detector is made, fixing the rotating plate to the input shaft with bolts so as to enable rotation of the rotating plate as a single body. CONSTITUTION: A rotating plate 4 is fixed to a boss 5 fitted closely onto an input shaft 3 of a speed reducer with bolts 6 and, therefore, it operates as the detector of a speed detector for the input shaft 3 of the speed reducer. Also, when the bolts 6 are removed, the rotating plate 4 is released from the input shaft 3 of the speed reducer and can be rotated as a single body. Then a retaining ring 8 is installed in the ring groove of the input shaft 3 of the speed reducer so that the rotating plate 4 is not come out of the input shaft 3 while the single body is rotating, and a liner 9 is installed between the retaining ring 8 and the rotating plate 4 so that the rotating plate 4 is made in contact with the boss with a proper contact force so as to suppress the rotating plate 4 from swinging while the single body is rotating. Thus the functional inspection of the speed detector can be made by the single body rotational test of the rotating plate 4 so as to increase the workability of the inspection.
