Monolithic Silicon Bolometers
P. M. Downey,A. D. Jeffries,S. S. Meyer,Rainer Weiss,Frank J. Bachner,Joseph P. Donnelly,W. T. Lindley,R. W. Mountain,D. J. Silversmith +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new type of bolometer detector for the millimeter and submillimeter spectral range is described, which is constructed of silicon using integrated circuit fabrication techniques and is used to give controlled resistance vs temperature properties as well as extremely low 1/f noise contacts.

A search for the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect at millimeter wavelengths
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect at frequencies in the range from 3 to 10 per cm, where the Compton scattering of the CBR photons by the electrons in the plasma leads to an average increase of each photon.
