Insertion devices at the Swiss Light Source (phase I)

TL;DR: The insertion devices under construction for phase I of the Swiss Light Source (SLS) are described in this paper, where five undulators and one wiggler are installed in four straight sections of the third generation 2.4 GeV SLS storage ring, under construction at the Paul Scherrer Institute.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

A Fixed Gap APPLE II Undulator for SLS

TL;DR: In this article, a 3.4 m long fixed gap undulator for SLS with a gap of 11.6 mm has been constructed, and the gap drive is replaced by a pairwise shift of the magnet arrays to change the energy, while the polarization is changed by shifts of diagonal arrays.

First results of the ue212 quasiperiodic elliptical electromagnetic undulators at sls

TL;DR: In this article, two electromagnetic elliptical undulators (UE212) have been installed in series in the 11m long straight section 9L of the Swiss Light Source (SLS), serving as the radiation source for the Surface and Interface Spectroscopy (SIS) beamline in the energy range from 8 - 800 eV.

High-resolution soft-X-ray beamline ADRESS at Swiss Light Source for resonant inelastic X-ray scattering and angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopies

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the concepts and technical realization of the high-resolution soft-X-ray beamline ADRESS operating in the energy range from 300 to 1600 eV and intended for Resonant Inelastic X-ray Scattering (RIXS) and Angle-Resolved Photoelectron Spectroscopy (ARPES).
