Machine Learning is the study of methods for programming computers to learn. Computers are applied to a wide range of tasks, and for most of these it is relatively easy for programmers to design and implement the necessary software. However, there are many tasks for which this is difficult or impossible. These can be divided into four general categories. First, there are problems for which there exist no human experts. For example, in modern automated manufacturing facilities, there is a need to predict machine failures before they occur by analyzing sensor readings. Because the machines are new, there are no human experts who can be interviewed by a programmer to provide the knowledge necessary to build a computer system. A machine learning system can study recorded data and subsequent machine failures and learn prediction rules. Second, there are problems where human experts exist, but where they are unable to explain their expertise. This is the case in many perceptual tasks, such as speech recognition, hand-writing recognition, and natural language understanding. Virtually all humans exhibit expert-level abilities on these tasks, but none of them can describe the detailed steps that they follow as they perform them. Fortunately, humans can provide machines with examples of the inputs and correct outputs for these tasks, so machine learning algorithms can learn to map the inputs to the outputs. Third, there are problems where phenomena are changing rapidly. In finance, for example, people would like to predict the future behavior of the stock market, of consumer purchases, or of exchange rates. These behaviors change frequently, so that even if a programmer could construct a good predictive computer program, it would need to be rewritten frequently. A learning program can relieve the programmer of this burden by constantly modifying and tuning a set of learned prediction rules. Fourth, there are applications that need to be customized for each computer user separately. Consider, for example, a program to filter unwanted electronic mail messages. Different users will need different filters. It is unreasonable to expect each user to program his or her own rules, and it is infeasible to provide every user with a software engineer to keep the rules up-to-date. A machine learning system can learn which mail messages the user rejects and maintain the filtering rules automatically. Machine learning addresses many of the same research questions as the fields of statistics, data mining, and psychology, but with differences of emphasis. Statistics focuses on understanding the phenomena that have generated the data, often with the goal of testing different hypotheses about those phenomena. Data mining seeks to find patterns in the data that are understandable by people. Psychological studies of human learning aspire to understand the mechanisms underlying the various learning behaviors exhibited by people (concept learning, skill acquisition, strategy change, etc.).

Topics will include the consumer decision-making model, individual determinants of consumer behavior and environmental influences on consumer behavior and their impact on marketing. Prerequisite: MKT 6301. (3-0) Y MKT 6321 Interactive and Digital Marketing (3 semester credit hours) Introduction to the theory and practice of interactive and digital marketing. Topics covered include: online-market research, consumer behavior, conversion metrics, and segmentation considerations; ecommerce, search and display advertising, audiences, search engine marketing, email, mobile, video, social networks, and the Internet of Things. 2 Abstract: Productivity as a measure for output is important to industry and academia. In this research, factors to enhance productivity have been identified from the literature by reviewing various international and national sources to explore this evergreen field of research that is "productivity," which has always been an increasingly interesting area of research for researchers over decades or perhaps over centuries. In total, 15 number of factors have been identified to enhance productivity. Analytic hierarchy process ap- proach has been appropriately chosen to rank these factors because of its simplicity and effectiveness. The tool has been used by taking perception of experts from the Indian manufacturing industry. Positive attitude and involvement of management, proactive employees, and good working conditions have been ranked as top three factors as per the experts' opinion. The ranking of factors to enhance productivity, categorization of the factors into four perspectives, and hierarchy of perspective and action plan as a final outcome of the paper may help academia and operations managers toward effective management of "operations and production activities of firms/supply chains."

Firms have realized the importance of having an effective supply chain, in order to compete effectively and efficiently. Technology is the back bone which helps in realizing supply chai n vision into reality. Disappointing outcomes of implementing IT-enabled supply chain have posed serious challenge and thus it is essential to understand the factors affecting its implementation. The earlier research in implementing IT-enabled supply chain has been fragmented and non-exhaustive. Also, the earlier research has focused mostly on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation and less on supply chain. This paper aims to provide literature review in identifying the critical success factors (CSFs) for implementing IT-enabled supply chain. This paper has systematically reviewed relevant papers and has identified 20 CSFs. 20 CSFs have then been further categorized into five c ategories- ‘People’, ‘Management Processes’, ‘Project Strategy’, ‘Structure’ and ‘Information Systems’. This study will help academicians and practitioners, by providing a framework for implementing IT-enabled supply chain.

Identification and Analysis of Critical Success Factors Influencing Technology Implementation of Supply Chain

India produces a massive amount of fruit and vegetables. However, the contemporary fruit and vegetable cold chain are not as per the requirements, which lead to a high decay rate and significant constraint for the fruit and vegetable industry. Fruit and vegetables cold chain are a special supply chain, must keep the appropriate low temperature during the processing, storage, transportation, distribution and retail for maintaining the quality and reduce the loss as far as possible. Temperature management is an essential factor to improve the shelf life of perishable products. This paper tries to study the issues faced by the Indian cold chain of fruits and vegetables and further gives low-cost solutions to maintain the low temperature at different stages of the cold chain. The paper discusses different low-cost techniques for controlling the temperature like pre-cooling, ice cooling and free cooling techniques. These are the methods applied to maintain the temperature of food lower than ambient to improve the shelf life.

An Extensive Study on Internet of Behavior (IoB) Enabled Healthcare Systems: Features, Facilitators, and Challenges

According to the history of vaccine development, no vaccine for infectious disease has ever been developed in a shorter time than COVID-19. With the enabling scientific efforts and governments support, few vaccines for the COVID-19 have been developed across the globe. Using the keywords COVID-19 or coronavirus and vaccine supply chain management, and review of the literature are conducted on the databases of PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Study, collected the most up-to-date information on the COVID-19 vaccine supply chain, and then assessed it to find potential challenges and opportunities. Our prior understanding of the structure and function of the coronavirus family has also contributed to the quick development of several vaccination technologies. However, there is still a long way to go in terms of actually getting the vaccinations to people, as well as others that are on the way. In 2021 and beyond, the complicated logistics of controlling the vaccine cold chain, combined with limited government funding to assist distribution, will make mass immunization difficult. We have identified various challenges and opportunities related to the supply chain and logistics for COVID-19 vaccines. The solution to these challenges would play a crucial role to enhance the health quality infrastructure across the world. The present study discusses the various aspects of the COVID-19 vaccine supply chain and logistics that make its biggest challenges. The scale and short time required for global vaccination will teach lessons not only to researchers and manufacturers but also to supply chain managers. Scientists, researchers, and diverse sectors have all also benefited from the influx of opportunities.
