Journal ArticleDOI
Use of Composite End Points in Early and Intermediate Age-Related Macular Degeneration Clinical Trials: State-of-the-Art and Future Directions.
Jan Henrik Terheyden,Steffen Schmitz-Valckenberg,David P. Crabb,Hannah Dunbar,Ulrich F O Luhmann,Charlotte Behning,Matthias Schmid,Rufino Silva,José Cunha-Vaz,Adnan Tufail,Georges Weissgerber,Sergio Leal,Frank G Holz,Robert P. Finger +13 more
TL;DR: No agreement on the optimal approach to implement combined end points in clinical studies of early stages of AMD exists, and no surrogate end points have been accepted for AMD progression, according to a literature search.
Journal ArticleDOI
Management of neovascular age-related macular degeneration in clinical practice: initiation, maintenance, and discontinuation of therapy.
TL;DR: Recommendations on how bevacizumab and ranibizumAB may be best applied in current clinical practice are provided, with an emphasis on their underlying pharmacology and efficacy.
Journal Article
The Neovascular Age-related Macular Degeneration Database: Report 2. Incidence, management and visual outcomes of Second treated eyes
TL;DR: Second treated eyes with nAMD commence treatment with better baseline VA, do not show significant vision gain but maintain better VA than first treated eyes at all time points for at least 3 years, making them the more important eye functionally.
Journal ArticleDOI
Repeatability of retinal thickness and volume metrics in neovascular age-related macular degeneration using the topcon 3doct-1000
Vikas Tah,P. A. Keane,Simona Degli Esposti,Joseph Allimuthu,Fred K. Chen,Lyndon Da Cruz,Adnan Tufail,Praveen J Patel +7 more
TL;DR: Though useful in detecting clinical change from measurement variability in clinical practice, these results suggest the precision of macular thickness measurement does not approach the theoretical resolution of SDOCT.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the treatment patterns and visual outcomes over 10 years in a large cohort of patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD).
