Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and antimicrobial activities of silver(I) 3-(substituted phenyl)sulfanylpropenoates.

TL;DR: The antimicrobial activities of the complexes against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Candida albicans, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and carbapenem-resistant P. aerug inosa were evaluated and compared with those of Ag(I) complexes with other aryl sulfanylpropenoates or related ligands.
Journal ArticleDOI

Supramolecular self-assembly in the crystal structures of methylmercury xanthates, MeHgS(S)COR, R=Et, iPr and CH2Ph

TL;DR: In this article, MeHgS(S)COR, with R=Et, iPr and CH2Ph, form unidimensional, supramolecular self-assembled, tape-like arrays in the solid state, based upon Hg⋯S intermolecular secondary interactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthetic, spectroscopic, and X-ray studies on methylmercury(II) and dimethylthallium(III) complexes with cyclopentanone thiosemicarbazone

TL;DR: In this article, the crystal structure of TlMe2(L)·HL has been determined, and the compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c(no. 14) with a= 12.088(4), b= 13.656(3), c= l3.271(4)A, β= 108.68(2)°, and Z= 4 (R= 0.069, R′=0.076).
Journal ArticleDOI

Dimeric rhenium(I) thiosemicarbazone complexes: formation, crystal structures, and the role of N–H⋯π and C–H⋯O interactions

TL;DR: In this paper, the thiosemicarbazone ligands bridge between two rhenium atoms by coordination of their Npyridine and S atoms, which is unusual in that it does not involve any of the thioamide nitrogen atoms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel gold(I) 7-azacoumarin complex: synthesis, structure, optical properties, and cytotoxic effects.

TL;DR: A mixture of pyridoxalrhodanine, triethylphosphinegold(I) chloride, and sodium methoxide in methanol unexpectedly afforded the azacoumarin complex [Au(TS)(PEt3)] [HTS = 5-(hydroxymethyl)-8-methyl-3-thiol-7-azacou marin], which was characterized by X-ray diffractometry.
