Journal ArticleDOI

Complexes of dichloro[2-(dimethylaminomethyl)phenyl-C1, N]gold(III), [Au(damp-C1, N)Cl2], with formylferrocene thiosemicarbazones: synthesis, structure and cytotoxicity

TL;DR: The in vitro antitumor activity against the HeLa cell line was determined and the IC(50) values were found to be higher than that of cisplatin but the maximum antiproliferative activity was similar.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transition-metal complexes of isatin-beta-thiosemicarbazone. X-ray crystal structure of two nickel complexes.

TL;DR: Biological studies, carried out in vitro on human leukaemic cell lines U937, have shown that the free ligand and the copper (II) complex are more active in the inhibition of cell proliferation than the nickel complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Zinc(II), cadmium(II) and mercury(II) complexes of the vitamin B1 antagonist oxythiamine.

TL;DR: This seems to be the first metal complex containing the oxythiamine ligand as a zwitterion, with the N(3')-H/O(4'alpha)-H group deprotonated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal and molecular structure of spirobicyclic bis(tetraphenyldithioimidodiphosphinato)lead(II), [Pb(SPPh2)2N];2], containing a new inorganic (carbon-free) PbS2P2N chelate ring and Pb(η6-C6H5) interactions

TL;DR: The title compound, [PbSPPh2)2N;2N, was obtained by reacting potassium tetraphenyldithioimidodiphosphinate with lead(II) acetate, and X-ray diffraction analysis reveals an unsymmetrical (anisobidentate) coordination of the chelating ligands, indicated by non-equal PbS interatomic distances [2.695(4] and 2.943(4) A].
Journal ArticleDOI

Nitrilotripropionic Acid (ntp) and Other Polyamino Carboxylic-acids As Sequestering Agents for Beryllium(ii) - X-ray Crystal-structure of Sodium (nitrilotripropionato)beryllate(ii) Trihydrate, Na[be(ntp)]center-dot-3h(2)o

TL;DR: In this paper, beryllium(II) with different polyamino carboxylic acids forms the following complexes: EDTA (ethylenedi-aminetetraacetic), 1,2PDTA (1,2-propylenediamine-N,N′-diacetic-N and N′-tetra-propionic) and EDTP (ethylENiamine N,N, N′,N+) and CDTA (trans- 1, 2-cyclohexanedi-amine-N-Tetra
