Journal ArticleDOI

Production of copper nanoparticles exhibiting various morphologies via pulsed laser ablation in different solvents and their catalytic activity for reduction of toxic nitroaromatic compounds.

TL;DR: It was established that the developed methodology allows for the production of NPs with different morphologies and compositions in a safe and simple manner and a detailed reduction pathway mechanism for the catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol and nitrobenzene has been proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fluorescence imaging for Fe3+ in Arabidopsis by using simple naphthalene-based ligands

TL;DR: In this paper, chemical probes of 1 and 1A were embedded into nanofibrous membrane films and tested for fluorescence imaging of Fe3+ in Arabidopsis, and the results indicated that both probes could be used to selectively detect Fe3+) in living systems like plants.
Journal ArticleDOI

Infrared Spectroscopy of Imidazole Trimer in Helium Nanodroplets: Free NH Stretch Mode

TL;DR: In this article, the first vibrational band assignment of imidazole trimer (IMT) solvated in helium nanodroplets is reported, which is attributed to the free NH stretching mode of linear IMT clusters, easily formed by the dipole-dipole interactions of IM in ultracold helium droplets and is achieved with an aid of pick-up oven temperature dependence and vibrational transition moment angle (VTMA) experiments as well as density functional theory (DFT) calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct observation of aluminium ions produced via pulsed laser ablation in liquid: a 'turn-on' fluorescence study.

TL;DR: Direct evidence for the production of Al(3+) ions from the plasma plume is presented for the first time by characterizing the absorption and emission spectra of their [Al(salophen)](+) complex.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determining Chiral Configuration of Diamines via Contact Angle Measurements on Enantioselective Alanine-Appended Benzene-Tricarboxamide Gelators

TL;DR: Using chiral alanine-appended benzene-tricarboxamide gelators, a methanol gel system is revealed that is capable of providing visual discrimination between enantiomers of various diamines.
