Near-Ultrahigh Pressure Processing of Continental Crust: Miocene Crustal Xenoliths from the Pamir

TL;DR: Xenoliths of subducted crustal origin hosted by Miocene ultrapotassic igneous rocks in the southern Pamir provide important new information regarding the geological processes accompanying tectonism during the Indo-Eurasian collision as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

The volatile content of Vesta: Clues from apatite in eucrites

TL;DR: Apatite was analyzed by electron microprobe in 3 cumulate and 10 basaltic eucrites using secondary ionization mass spectroscopy as mentioned in this paper, which confirmed the hydroxyl content of apatites from three representative eucritics using SIS and confirmed the presence of water and/or hydrothermal fluids in the Vestan interior.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental determination of the partitioning behavior of rare earth and high field strength elements between pargasitic amphibole and natural silicate melts

TL;DR: In this paper, a set of expressions that can be used to calculate the amphibole-melt partitioning behavior of the rare earth elements (REE) and the high field strength elements (HFSE) in natural systems were derived.
Journal ArticleDOI

New set of low concentration standards for la, ce, sm, yb, lu, y, sc, v, nb and ta in silicates

TL;DR: In this article, a set of synthetic standards for rare earth and high field strength elements designed for use in the determination of those elements in silicates were developed, and the base material is a glass nominally at the eutectic of the MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 ternary system.
