Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient tandem solar cells with solution-processed perovskite on textured crystalline silicon.
Yi Hou,Erkan Aydin,Michele De Bastiani,Chuanxiao Xiao,Furkan Halis Isikgor,Ding-Jiang Xue,Bin Chen,Hao Chen,Behzad Bahrami,Ashraful Haider Chowdhury,Andrew Johnston,Se-Woong Baek,Ziru Huang,Mingyang Wei,Yitong Dong,Joel Troughton,Rawan Jalmood,Alessandro J. Mirabelli,Thomas Allen,Emmanuel Van Kerschaver,Makhsud I. Saidaminov,Derya Baran,Qiquan Qiao,Kai Zhu,Stefaan De Wolf,Edward H. Sargent +25 more
TL;DR: Tandems that combine solution-processed micrometer-thick perovskite top cells with fully textured silicon heterojunction bottom cells are reported, which presents the possibility of overcoming the single-junction Shockley-Queisser limit in photovoltaics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient bifacial monolithic perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells via bandgap engineering
Michele De Bastiani,Alessandro J. Mirabelli,Alessandro J. Mirabelli,Yi Hou,Fabrizio Gota,Erkan Aydin,Thomas Allen,Joel Troughton,Anand S. Subbiah,Furkan Halis Isikgor,Jiang Liu,Lujia Xu,Bin Chen,Emmanuel Van Kerschaver,Derya Baran,Beatrice Fraboni,Michael Salvador,Ulrich W. Paetzold,Edward H. Sargent,Stefaan De Wolf +19 more
TL;DR: De Bastiani et al. as discussed by the authors investigated the perovskite bandgap required to attain optimized current matching under a variety of realistic illumination and albedo conditions and compared the properties of these bifacial tandems exposed to different albedos and provided energy yield calculations for two locations with different environmental conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Harrison,Thomas Allen,Bin Chen,Yi Hou,Semen Shikin,Edward H. Sargent,Christophe Ballif,Michael Salvador,Stefaan De Wolf +19 more
TL;DR: The work in this article was supported by the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) under Award No. OSR-2018-CPF-3669.02.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bright and stable perovskite light-emitting diodes in the near-infrared range
Yuqi Sun,L.Q. Ge,Linjie Dai,Chang-Yeol Cho,Jordi Ferrer Orri,Kang Ji,Szymon J. Zelewski,Yunyi Liu,Alessandro J. Mirabelli,Youcheng Zhang,Jun-Yu Huang,Yusong Wang,Ke Gong,May Ching Lai,Lu Zhang,Dan Yang,Jiudong Lin,Elizabeth M. Tennyson,Caterina Ducati,Samuel D. Stranks,Lin-Song Cui,Neil C. Greenham +21 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors demonstrate perovskite LEDs with exceptional performance at high brightness, achieved by the introduction of a multifunctional molecule that simultaneously removes non-radiative regions in the perov-skite films and suppresses luminescence quenching of perovsites at the interface with charge-transport layers.
