Journal ArticleDOI
Spontaneous phase condensation of CdTe exciton-polaritons
Jacek Kasprzak,Maxime Richard,Régis André,R. Romestain,Guillaume Malpuech,Alexey Kavokin,Le Si Dang +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied CdTe/CdMgTe microcavity samples containing 4 quantum wells and characterized by a vacuum field Rabi-splitting of 13.2 meV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polarization Control of Optically Pumped Terahertz Lasers
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that the probability of two-photon absorption by a 2p-exciton is strongly dependent on the polarization of both photons, and they calculate the polarization dependence of the THz emission and identify photon polarization configurations for achieving maximum THz photon generation quantum efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI
Theory of propagation and scattering of exciton-polaritons in quantum wells
TL;DR: In this paper, a semi-classical theory of exciton-polaritons in quantum wells is presented, where the light coupling with ensembles of localized quantum dot-like exciton states gives a direct measure of the density of these excitonic dots.
Book ChapterDOI
Resonant Rayleigh scattering of exciton-polaritons in multiple quantum well structures
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic field induced formation of a stationary charge density wave in a conducting Möbius stripe
S. S. Demirchyan,Alexey Kavokin +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider a system that possesses just one edge: a M\"obius stripe and show that if the carrier mean free path is less than the width of the stripe, magnetic field induced edge currents vanish.
