Improved Upper Limit on the Neutrino Mass from a Direct Kinematic Method by KATRIN

M. Aker, +208 more
TL;DR: An upper limit of 1.1 eV (90% confidence level) is derived on the absolute mass scale of neutrinos on the Karlsruhe Tritium Neutrino experiment KATRIN, which improves upon previous mass limits from kinematic measurements by almost a factor of 2 and provides model-independent input to cosmological studies of structure formation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct neutrino-mass measurement with sub-electronvolt sensitivity

M. Aker, +133 more
- 01 Feb 2022 -
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors reported the upper limits on effective electron anti-neutrino mass, m ν , from the second physics run of the Karlsruhe Tritium Neutrinos experiment, using a high-precision measurement of the tritium βdecay spectrum close to its endpoint.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electromagnetic neutrinos in laboratory experiments and astrophysics

TL;DR: An overview of neutrino electromagnetic properties, which open a door to the new physics beyond the Standard Model, is given in this paper, where the effects of NE electromagnetic interactions both in terrestrial experiments and in astrophysical environments are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Commissioning of the vacuum system of the KATRIN main spectrometer

M. Arenz, +155 more
TL;DR: Arenz et al. as mentioned in this paper presented the configuration, the commissioning with bake-out at 300◦C, and the performance of this system and demonstrated that the performance is already close to these stringent functional requirements for the KATRIN experiment, which will start at the end of 2016.

TAO Conceptual Design Report: A Precision Measurement of the Reactor Antineutrino Spectrum with Sub-percent Energy Resolution

Angel Abusleme, +586 more
TL;DR: The Taishan Antineutrino Observatory (TAO-TAO) is a satellite experiment of the Jiangmen Underground Neutrinos Observatory (JUNO) as mentioned in this paper.
