Journal ArticleDOI
Theoretical and experimental investigation of possible ferromagnetic ordering in wide band gap ZnO and related systems
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that C substitution at zinc vacancy site cannot produce any ferromagnetic moment although zinc vacancy in undoped ZnO induces the same, and that after C substitution in the system, donor like states appear near the conduction band causing more n-type character compared to undoped znO.
Journal ArticleDOI
Discriminating electromagnetically induced transparency from Autler–Townes splitting in a Ξ system
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report on experimentally discerning Autler-Townes splitting (ATS) from electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) from 87Rb atoms under different laser detuning combinations.
Journal ArticleDOI
First online production of radioactive ion beams at VECC
Vaishali Naik,Alok Chakrabarti,M. Bhattacharjee,Prasanta Karmakar,S. Bhattacharjee,Arup Bandyopadhyay,S. Dechoudhury,Dodi Lavanya Kumar,Manas Mondal,H.K. Pandey,T. K. Mandi,D.P. Dutta,Tapatee Kundu Roy,Debasis Bhowmik,Dirtha Sanyal,Ayan Ray,Md. Sabir Ali,S. C. L. Srivastava,P.Y. Nabhiraj +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, the details of the gas-jet coupled ECR and RIB production experiments are presented. But the authors focus on the acceleration of the RIB at the separator focal plane, which was measured after acceleration through a 3.4m long RFQ linac.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coulomb explosion sputtering of selectively oxidized Si
TL;DR: The sputtering of a unique system comprising of coexisting silicon and silicon oxide surfaces due to the impact of multiply charged Ar(q+) ions is studied, showing experimentally the potential of highly charged ions in the gentle cleaning or tailoring of nanostructures.
Journal ArticleDOI
An axial ionization chamber for heavy ion identification
S.K. Bandyopadhyaya,S. K. Basu,Soumik Bhattacharya,R.K. Bhowmik,Alok Chakrabarti,S.K. Datta,G. S. N. Murthy,Y. P. Viyogi +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the design and performance of an axial ionization chamber is described, and the contribution of straggling to the energy resolution of this detector is investigated, as well as the performance of the ionization detector.
