Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of brain ecto-apyrase as a phosphoprotein.
Márcia Rosângela Wink,Guido Lenz,Richard Rodnight,João José Freitas Sarkis,Ana Maria Oliveira Battastini +4 more
TL;DR: Observations indicate that apyrase can be detected as a phosphoprotein, with obvious implications in the regulation of this enzyme.
Journal ArticleDOI
CD73 as a target to improve temozolomide chemotherapy effect in glioblastoma preclinical model.
Juliana Hofstatter Azambuja,Roselena Silvestri Schuh,Luana Roberta Michels,Nicolly Espindola Gelsleichter,Liziane Raquel Beckenkamp,Gabriela Spies Lenz,F H de Oliveira,Márcia Rosângela Wink,Marco Antonio Stefani,Ana Maria Oliveira Battastini,Helder Ferreira Teixeira,Elizandra Braganhol +11 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that nasal administration of NE-siRNA CD73 exhibits higher antiglioma effect when compared to TMZ, however, no synergistic or additive in vivo was promoted by the therapeutic regimen employed in this study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ovariectomy and estradiol replacement therapy alters the adenine nucleotide hydrolysis in rat blood serum.
TL;DR: The results suggest the presence of a strong relation between these enzymes and the hormonal system, and the alterations observed are important, because these enzymes control the nucleotides/nucleosides ratio in the circulation and thus the events related to haemostasis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ecto-5'-nucleotidase/CD73 knockdown increases cell migration and mRNA level of collagen I in a hepatic stellate cell line.
Claudia Marlise Balbinotti Andrade,Patrícia Luciana da Costa Lopez,Bruno Tubino Noronha,Márcia Rosângela Wink,Radovan Borojevic,Rogério Margis,Guido Lenz,Ana Maria Oliveira Battastini,Fátima Theresinha Costa Rodrigues Guma +8 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that eNT/CD73 protein expression controls cell migration and collagen expression in a mechanism independent of changes in nucleotide metabolism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization and antiproliferative activity of glioma-derived extracellular vesicles.
Juliete Nathali Scholl,Amanda de Fraga Dias,Pauline Rafaela Pizzato,Daniela Vasconcelos Lopes,Cesar Eduardo Jacintho Moritz,Elisa Helena Farias Jandrey,Gabriele Dadalt Souto,Mariana Colombo,Francieli Rohden,Jean Sévigny,Adriana Raffin Pohlmann,Silvia Stanisçuaski Guterres,Ana Maria Oliveira Battastini,Fabrício Figueiró +13 more
TL;DR: GEVs, administered before or at tumor challenge, have antiproliferative properties and reduce regulatory cells in the glioma microenvironment.
