Journal ArticleDOI

Clinical outcome in adult onset idiopathic or paraneoplastic opsoclonus–myoclonus

TL;DR: It is concluded that idiopathic OMS occurs in younger patients, the clinical evolution is more benign and the effect of immunotherapy appears more effective than in paraneoplastic OMS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cerebellar ataxia with anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase antibodies: study of 14 patients.

TL;DR: A link between high level of GAD-Ab and some cases of cerebellar ataxia, particularly women with IDDM is suggested, and the cerebrospinal fluid should be evaluated for the presence of oligoclonal IgG bands and intrathecal synthesis of GADS to further prove an autoimmune origin of the syndrome.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anti-Tr antibodies as markers of paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration and Hodgkin's disease.

TL;DR: This study confirms the strong association between anti-Tr antibodies and PCD associated with HD and indicates that anti- Tr antibodies from different patients recognize similar epitopes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Autoantibodies to glutamic acid decarboxylase in patients with therapy-resistant epilepsy

TL;DR: GAD autoimmunity may be associated with refractory localization-related epilepsy, and has been reported in cerebellar ataxia and type 1 diabetes.
Journal ArticleDOI

GABAB receptor antibodies in limbic encephalitis and anti-GAD–associated neurologic disorders

TL;DR: GABABR-ab are the most common antibodies found in LE associated with SCLC previously considered “seronegative,” and in patients with GAD-ab, the frequency of GABABR-AB is low and only observed in the context of cancer.
