Beneficiation of cobalt, copper and aluminum from wasted lithium-ion batteries by mechanical processing

TL;DR: In this paper, a sample of batteries was submitted to a series of mechanical processes to recover cobalt, copper and aluminum, and the results demonstrate that it is possible to obtain rich concentrates of cobalt and copper through mechanical processing of lithium-ion batteries, and it is feasible to concentrate aluminum as a byproduct by applying additional mechanical processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Toxicity elimination of landfill leachate by hybrid processing of advanced oxidation process and adsorption

TL;DR: In this article, photoelectrooxidation and activated carbon (PEO+AC) were used to treat leachate from a stabilized landfill, as well as the influence of these processes in eliminating toxicity of leachates through bioassays in Allium cepa (onion bulbs).
Journal ArticleDOI

The role of the anode material and water matrix in the electrochemical oxidation of norfloxacin.

TL;DR: The results showed that the anode material influences on the NOR oxidation pathway, due to distinct characteristics of the substrate and the coating, shows that low difference in diamond-sp³/sp2-carbon ratio does not leads to significant differences in the EAOP.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of ligand exchange on the treatment of trivalent chromium solutions by electrodialysis

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of ligand type and the aging of the solution in the transport of trivalent chromium through Nafion 450 ion exchange membranes was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultrafiltration Based Process for the Recovery of Polysaccharides and Polyphenols from Winery Effluents

TL;DR: In this paper, a process was developed to reduce the pollution potential of the winery effluents from the second racking and to recover the polyphenols and polysaccharides from the effluent by utilizing ultrafiltration (UF) and sedimentation operations.
