Journal ArticleDOI
Mineralization of erythromycin by UV-based and electro-oxidation processes
Laura Franzen Ramos,Salatiel Wohlmuth da Silva,Daniela Eduarda Schneider,Marco Antônio Siqueira Rodrigues,Andréa Moura Bernardes +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the mineralization of solutions containing 50 mg/L of erythromycin, part of the European Union wide watch-list, was studied using electro-oxidation and the UV-based processes direct photolysis, heterogeneous photocatalysis and photo-electrocatalysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antibiotics mineralization by electrochemical and UV-based hybrid processes: evaluation of the synergistic effect.
Salatiel Wohlmuth da Silva,Salatiel Wohlmuth da Silva,Alan Nelson Arenhart Heberle,Alexia Pereira dos Santos,Marco Antônio Siqueira Rodrigues,Valentín Pérez-Herranz,Andréa Moura Bernardes +6 more
TL;DR: Although the UV-based processes control the reaction pathway that leads to mineralization, the best results to mineralize the antibiotics were achieved by PEO hybrid process, explained by the synergistic effect of the processes that constitute them.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitrate Reduction of Brines from Water Desalination Plants Employing a Low Metallic Charge Pd, In Catalyst and Formic Acid as Reducing Agent
Fernanda Miranda Zoppas,Fernanda Miranda Zoppas,Andréa Moura Bernardes,Eduardo Ernesto Miro,Fernanda Albana Marchesini +4 more
TL;DR: Zoppas et al. as mentioned in this paper presented the work of the Instituto de Investigaciones en Catalisis y Petroquimica "Ing. Jose Miguel Parera".
Book ChapterDOI
Achievements in electrodialysis processes for wastewater and water treatment
Tatiana Scarazzato,Tatiana Scarazzato,Kayo Santana Barros,Kayo Santana Barros,Tatiane Benvenuti,Marco Antônio Siqueira Rodrigues,Denise Crocce Romano Espinosa,Andréa Moura Bernardes,Franco Dani Rico Amado,Valentín Pérez-Herranz +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the main motivations for ongoing efforts in optimizing electrodialysis systems rely on water supply in remote areas, on saving natural resources, and on reducing industrial costs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improving selectivity to dinitrogen using Palladium-Indium coated on activated carbon fibers: preparation, characterization and application in water-phase nitrate reduction using formic acid as an alternative reductant source.
Fernanda Miranda Zoppas,Fernanda Miranda Zoppas,Andréa Moura Bernardes,Eduardo Ernesto Miro,Fernanda Albana Marchesini +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported results on the preparation, characterization and application of activated carbon fibers as structured catalysts used in the decontamination of water containing nitrates using sequential autocatalytic deposition.
