Mineralization of erythromycin by UV-based and electro-oxidation processes

TL;DR: In this article, the mineralization of solutions containing 50 mg/L of erythromycin, part of the European Union wide watch-list, was studied using electro-oxidation and the UV-based processes direct photolysis, heterogeneous photocatalysis and photo-electrocatalysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antibiotics mineralization by electrochemical and UV-based hybrid processes: evaluation of the synergistic effect.

TL;DR: Although the UV-based processes control the reaction pathway that leads to mineralization, the best results to mineralize the antibiotics were achieved by PEO hybrid process, explained by the synergistic effect of the processes that constitute them.
Journal ArticleDOI

Improving selectivity to dinitrogen using Palladium-Indium coated on activated carbon fibers: preparation, characterization and application in water-phase nitrate reduction using formic acid as an alternative reductant source.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported results on the preparation, characterization and application of activated carbon fibers as structured catalysts used in the decontamination of water containing nitrates using sequential autocatalytic deposition.
