Journal ArticleDOI
Chd8 regulates X chromosome inactivation in mouse through fine-tuning control of Xist expression.
Andrea Cerase,Alexander N. Young,Alexander N. Young,Nerea Blanes Ruiz,Andreas Buness,Andreas Buness,Gabrielle M Sant,Mirjam Arnold,Mirjam Arnold,Monica Di Giacomo,Michela Ascolani,Manish Kumar,Manish Kumar,Andreas Hierholzer,Andreas Hierholzer,Giuseppe Trigiante,Sarah J. Marzi,Philip Avner +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate a new role for Chd8 in Xist regulation in differentiating ES cells, linked to its control and prevention of spurious transcription factor interactions occurring within Xist regulatory regions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Deletion of LBR N-terminal domains recapitulates Pelger-Huet anomaly phenotypes in mouse without disrupting X chromosome inactivation
Alexander N. Young,Emerald Perlas,Nerea Ruiz-Blanes,Andreas Hierholzer,Andreas Hierholzer,Nicola Pomella,Belen Martin-Martin,Alessandra Liverziani,Joanna W. Jachowicz,Thomas Giannakouros,Andrea Cerase +10 more
TL;DR: Using CRISPR/Cas-9 gene editing technology, this paper showed that a 236bp N-terminal deletion in the mouse Lamin B receptor (LBR) gene, generating a protein missing the Nterminal domains of LBR, presents a superior model of human PHA.
