The DNA sequence of human chromosome 7

LaDeana W. Hillier, +109 more
- 10 Jul 2003 -
TL;DR: The euchromatic sequence of chromosome 7, the first metacentric chromosome completed so far, has excellent concordance with previously established physical and genetic maps, and it exhibits an unusual amount of segmentally duplicated sequence.

Maximum likelihood methods in biology revisited with tools of computational intelligence

TL;DR: In this article, the problem of identifying genes correlated with the occurrence of diseases in a given population is investigated, where the classical method of parametric linkage analysis is combined with newer tools and results are achieved on a model problem.
