High-energy terahertz pulses from semiconductors pumped above the three-photon absorption edge
Gy. Polonyi,B. Monoszlai,Giedrius Andriukaitis,G. Gaumann,Tadas Balciunas,Audrius Pugzlys,Andrius Baltuška,Thomas Feurer,János Hebling,Jozsef A. Fulop +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a tilted pulse front pumping at 1.45 and 1.7 μm wavelength was used to achieve up to 0.7% efficiency and 14 μJ energy.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Laser wakefield acceleration with mid-IR laser pulses
Daniel Woodbury,Linus Feder,Valentina Shumakova,Claudia Gollner,Bo Miao,Robert Schwartz,Audrius Pugžlys,Andrius Baltuška,Howard Milchberg +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the first results from laser plasma wakefield acceleration driven by ultrashort mid-infrared laser pulses (100fs, λ=3.9µm) were presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Channel-resolved subcycle interferences of electron wave packets emitted from H$_2$ in two-color laser fields
TL;DR: In this paper, the subcycle interference structures of electron wave packet are observed to be sensitive to the cycle shape of the two-color laser field, which can be further used to get the sub-cycle dynamics of molecules during strong field interaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mapping anomalous dispersion of air with ultrashort mid-infrared pulses
Aleksandr V. Mitrofanov,A. A. Voronin,Dmitry A. Sidorov-Biryukov,M. V. Rozhko,E. A. Stepanov,Andrei B. Fedotov,Valentina Shumakova,Skirmantas Alisauskas,Audrius Pugžlys,Andrius Baltuška,Aleksei M. Zheltikov +10 more
TL;DR: The spectrograms of ultrashort mid-infrared laser pulses transmitted over a distance of 60 m provide a map of air dispersion in this wavelength range, revealing clear signatures of anomalous dispersion, with anomalous group delays detected across the bandwidth covered by 80-fs laser pulses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Laser-Induced Electron Transfer in the Dissociative Multiple Ionization of Argon Dimers
YanLan Wang,XuanYang Lai,ShaoGang Yu,RenPing Sun,XiaoJun Liu,Martin Dorner-Kirchner,Sonia Erattupuzha,Seyedreza Larimian,Markus Koch,Václav Hanus,Sarayoo Kangaparambil,Gerhard G. Paulus,Andrius Baltuška,Xinhua Xie,Markus Kitzler-Zeiler +14 more
TL;DR: A strong-field route to controlling the dynamics in molecular compounds through the excitation of electronic dynamics on a distant molecule by driving intermolecular electron-transfer processes is disclosed.
